The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom is pleased to announce the II Premio PYME Santander, a recognition supported for the first time by Banco Santander. This award is an opportunity for SMEs to receive official recognition from the Chamber, attend the award ceremony at the Spanish Ambassador’s Residence in London, and join the Chamber’s Patron Club, with the most relevant Spanish, British and international companies operating in the UK.
About the Premio PYME Santander
Established in 2023 by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, this award recognises the significant contributions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the growth of the British and Spanish economies. In this edition, two companies will be awarded: one for its exporting activities and the other for its investments.
All small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are invited to apply, both Members and non-Members, provided they:
- Export to the United Kingdom from Spain, or vice versa
or
- Have made recent investments in the United Kingdom with a close link to Spain (capital, human resources, etc.); or vice versa
Candidates may submit their applications, following the award rules, by Wednesday 18th December COB [new deadline] to the Secretary General of the Chamber via e-mail: igor.urra@spanishchamber.co.uk
The Jury, chaired by the Head Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in the United Kingdom, will include representatives from the Federation of Small Businesses, British and Spanish journalists, representatives from the Department for Business and Trade, as well as delegates from the Spanish Chamber, Banco Santander, and Cámara de Comercio de España. They will evaluate actions undertaken during 2022, 2023 and 2024 across the following areas: innovation, investment, digitalisation, internationalisation, training and job creation, sustainability, and diversity.
The award comprises a one-year Patron membership of the Chamber (with all corresponding benefits), a diploma, a trophy, and a communication kit. The award ceremony will take place at the Spanish Ambassador’s Residence in London.
