We are delighted to launch a brand new initiative to continue connecting people and businesses, this time with a slightly different focus.
Since 1990 the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain has been organising The Graduate European Programme (GEP) –formerly known as Young European Entrepreneur Programme-, aimed at providing international work experience to the participants.
The GEP has paved the way for many participants to start their professional life in London or to land a job in Spain. More importantly, thanks to having taken part in it many candidates improved their CV and employability in an ever competitive market.
Since the beginning the programme there has also been a focus on improving the participants’ language and professional skills. In fact, the GEP is complimented by a Business English course along with a series of workshops at Regent’s University London.
It is been a long journey since the first edition kicked off 25 years ago and year on year we have witnessed how the programme has increased in importance and visibility. In every edition we are overwhelmed by the amount of talented candidates who apply. In fact, one of the greatest rewards is to see how many of them receive an offer to stay in the company or move on to new challenges afterwards.
In this time nearly 200 people have completed the programme and we would like to provide them with a platform to stay connected with us and among themselves. This is why we have launched a LinkedIn group exclusively for former GEP participants, which will allow the exchange of useful information and professional experiences as well as the publication of job vacancies.
If you have been a GEP, do not hesitate to join the LinkedIn group by clicking here. If you are not, but you would like to publish a job opportunity in the group, please contact us at spanishchamber@spanishchamber.co.uk
If you are a graduate interested in the programme and would be interested in further information about it, you can find it within our website in the Graduate European Programme section under the Career Services menu. Likewise prospective candidates will find helpful the section dedicated to frequently asked questions.
