On Tuesday 24th September we hosted the third session of the “Leadership in Focus Forum” at the Spanish Chamber which was delivered by Matthew Hill, from Hill Networks, one of our members. On this occasion the topic was “Influencing for Success”.
Participants paid attention throughout Matthew’s presentation.
To start off, Matthew explained what exactly influence means and what benefits we can obtain from it in order to achieve our goals. In Matthew’s words, the former is the art of guiding the listener logically and emotionally along a pathway from not known to being informed and deciding to do what is in their own interest. The goal, on the other hand, can range from saving time, wealth satisfaction, increasing one’s confidence, etc.
Following on this, attendees could interact throughout this dynamic session under the guidance of Matthew, who provided useful exercises for them to explore further their influencing skills and how they can attain their own goals through it.
Attendees took the opportunity to exchange tips with Matthew over coffee.
At the end of the session, attendees had the opportunity to network over breakfast and exchange a few more tips with Matthew in order to boost their influencing skills.
