The Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom is one of 143 EU diplomatic missions around the world. It was established following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on 1st February 2020 to represent the EU and engage with the UK Government, political actors, media, academia, business and the British public.
The core mission of the EU Delegation to the UK is to build and strengthen the new EU-UK relationship post-Brexit, and it is in this context that the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK is thrilled to welcome H.E. the Ambassador of the EU Delegation to the UK, Mr. Pedro Serrano, as special guest speaker at our next Meliá Business Breakfast of the year.
The Ambassador will delve into EU-UK relations and the EU’s current positioning globally.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, prior to the opportunity to network with other guests over a traditional Spanish breakfast.

About the Ambassador:
H.E. Mr. Pedro Serrano was appointed Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom in November 2022. A Spanish national and Spanish Career Diplomat, H.E Mr. Serrano has been an EU official since 2003.
He has served as the Head of Cabinet of High Representative for Common and Security Policy and Vice President of the Commission; Deputy Secretary General for Security and Defence Policy and for Crisis Response in the EEAS; Principal Adviser on External Affairs, Cabinet of the President of the European Council; and Ambassador and Acting Head of the EU Delegation to the UN in New York, amongst an extensive and impressive list of previous diplomatic roles.
He has a degree in law from Universidad Complutense Madrid and has published numerous articles on EU security and defence policy as well as on EU foreign policy. H.E. Mr. Pedro Serrano participates regularly in public events on such topics.
