The Spanish Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering dialogue between its Members and the UK Government, particularly on key policy areas that impact business, trade, mobility and bilateral cultural cooperation. In this regard, we are pleased to announce that the British Ambassador to Spain and Andorra, Sir Alex Ellis, will join us as the special guest speaker for our final Meliá Business Breakfast of the year.

With an extensive diplomatic career spanning over three decades, Alex has represented the United Kingdom in senior roles across the globe, including as British High Commissioner to India, Ambassador to Brazil and Portugal, and Deputy National Security Adviser in the Cabinet Office. He was appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to Spain and Andorra in September 2024. Drawing on his extensive experience in European affairs, trade and security, Alex is uniquely positioned to offer valuable insights into the UK–Spain relationship and the broader geopolitical landscape.

The Ambassador’s briefing will explore how UK–Spain trade and investment can contribute to the goals of both governments and countries in an uncertain world.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, after which guests will have the opportunity to network while enjoying a Spanish breakfast. The event will take place at the Meliá White House hotel, a proud Patron of the Spanish Chamber.

Date & Time: Friday 5th December, 08:00 (for an 08:30 start) – 09:30
Location: Meliá White House | Albany St | London NW1 3UP
