For the following edition of our online Meliá Business Breakfast series on the 19th May we look forward to being joined by Nadhim Zahawi MP, Minister for Business and Industry at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
Nadhim will be sharing with us his insight on the latest Brexit developments, the progress of the negotiations between the UK and the EU and his view on what the future relationship will look like. He will also be discussing the impact of coronavirus on the Brexit negotiation process and the key features and importance of the bilateral trade & investment relationship between the UK and Spain.
Biography
Nadhim Zahawi was appointed as Minister for Business and Industry at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in July 2019. He was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education from January 2018 to July 2019, while having also been elected as Conservative MP for Stratford-on-Avon in May 2010. Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of YouGov, the market research and political polling company. Born in Baghdad in 1967, he moved to the UK at the age of 9.
