The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom has the pleasure of inviting its Members, regardless of gender, to our IV International Women’s Day Reception, an evening dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements in the workplace and beyond. This event will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the invaluable contribution of female talent within our network to the strengthening of economic and commercial relations between the UK and Spain as well as to highlight the importance of gender equity in shaping inclusive societies.
Held at the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador, we will share insights on gender equity, inclusion, social development and leadership in a changing global context.
We are honoured to announce that our special guest speaker will be Dr. Isabel Quiroga FRCS, D.Phil., Consultant Transplant and Endocrine Surgeon, Clinical Lead for Organ Retreival, and National Co-Lead for Uterus Transplantation at the Oxford Transplant Centre.
A pioneer in her field, Dr. Quiroga’s work sits at the forefront of surgical innovation and medical advancement in the UK. Her leadership in organ retrieval and uterus transplantation represents not only clinical excellence, but also the determination, collaboration and long-term vision that drive meaningful progress — values that resonate strongly within our business community.
The reception will be hosted by H.E. Ms. Emma Aparici Vázquez de Parga, Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, whose appointment represents a significant milestone in Spain’s diplomatic representation in the UK.
