The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, in collaboration with Chamber Benefactor Stevens & Bolton, invites you to join a seminar on the latest developments in UK immigration law and their implications for businesses. With the government taking an increasingly robust approach to the sponsorship of Skilled Workers, sponsor compliance and enforcement, staying up to date with the latest legal and policy changes is essential for employers.
The session will cover:
- Recent changes to the sponsor guidance which businesses and HR professionals should be aware of.
- The latest position on the government’s earned settlement model and in particular how this would impact sponsors.
- An overview of recent updates to right to work checks, including expanding the civil penalty regime to cover workers, individual contractors and online matching services and the new concept of extended liability in relation to right to work checks.
The seminar will offer businesses and HR professionals the opportunity to better understand these developments, clarify their responsibilities and consider how the changes may affect their organisation.
Date & time: Thursday 19th November, 8:30 (for a 9:00 start) – 10:30
Location:Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK | 126 Wigmore Street | London W1U 3RZ
