The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, in collaboration with our Chamber Benefactor Tudor Rose and Chamber Member 39 Essex Chambers, invites you to an expert panel discussion exploring one of the key challenges in construction contracts: extension of time claims and the disputes that can arise from them.Extension of time provisions are an important part of construction contracts, but disagreements over delays, responsibilities and how these clauses should be interpreted can lead to disputes.

How well do these provisions work in practice, and could they be made clearer and more effective?Bringing together experts in construction law and delay analysis, the panel will explore common challenges and share practical insights into how extension of time provisions are applied across the main standard forms of construction contract, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC.

The discussion will be relevant for contractors and professionals working in operational, commercial and legal roles, offering an opportunity to explore these issues, hear different perspectives and exchange experiences with fellow industry professionals.

Join us for an insightful discussion followed by networking drinks, providing an opportunity to continue the conversation and connect with others across the construction sector.

Date & Time: Thursday, 19 November 2026, 17:00 – 20:00
