On Sunday the 19th of July, La Roja celebrated their World Cup victory and added a second star to their shirt.
Throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK has been hosting watch parties for Members in collaboration with Chamber Member Camino London in King’s Cross. Camino was the perfect venue to watch matches as they provided plenty of big screens, fantastic food and a spacious outdoor courtyard.
Camino and Chamber Member Damm kindly provided guests welcome beers before every match to kick-off the lively atmosphere.
For the match against Belgium, we collaborated with the Belgium and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and had the pleasure of watching the match with the former Belgian Prime Minister, Ms. Sophie Wilmès, and His Excellency Jeroen Cooreman, Ambassador of Belgium to the United Kingdom. It was a worthwhile evening which reminded us how valuable it is to work together.
The excitement also reached audiences well beyond our events. We had significant press coverage of our watch parties as several media sources covered our events.
- The BBC covered the final event live at Camino and captured the excitement.
- Expansión published an article and video on the best places to watch the football with a Spanish environment and highlighted our events at Camino.
- Lastly, DR Sports Media hosted live streams at two matches to a wider audience soaking in the contagious atmosphere.
Finally, the Her Excellency Ms. Emma Aparici Vázquez de Parga, the Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, hosted a final watch party at her official residence inviting people from the British-Spanish community. Our President, Juan Carlos Machuca was able to attend and celebrate a historic victory amongst distinguished guests and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our events and made this an extra special tournament we will never forget.
