For this webinar, Professor Magda Rosenmoller who is a senior lecturer in Operations Management at IESE, Patrons of the Spanish Chamber, will explain and assess how and why the approaches to manage the coronavirus pandemic have varied so much around the world. She will describe what the main barriers to overcome have been with regards to healthcare and how different institutions around the world have reacted and adapted. She will then explain the most important opportunities for improvement that will come out of the crisis, such as with regards to research & innovation and the vital need for more resilient future health systems; before describing the key lessons that we can all take away as we seek to make the world a better place for future generations.
Speaker bio: Magda Rosenmoller holds a Ph.D. in Health Policy (University of London), a Medical Doctor (University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France), and an MBA from IESE where she works as a professor.
She served as senior expert at the World Bank LAC Region (2001-2) and in different assignments for the European Commission (health research and policy), the European Parliament, the ECDC, and the Innovative Medicine Initiative (IMI). She assumed scientific coordination of a series of H2020/ FP7 projects, i.e. Europe 4 Patients, Project Integrate. She has a leading role in EIT Health (since 2015) in the Public Affairs Group, innovation and education activities: Global Health, Women Entrepreneurship (WEHealth), and the Health Innovation Educator Network (EITHiEN).
