As the coronavirus restrictions in both the UK and Spain continue to be eased, have you returned to working from the office, or are you intending to do so?

For this new, interactive webinar which will be held in collaboration with Del Canto Chambers, Patron of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, Adriana Ruiz Velasquez who is the Director of Fashion Redesign will join us to discuss the following topics related to fashion and the return to the workplace:

  • Protocols and regulations of returning to the office after coronavirus, impacts on employees and options to mitigate the negative effects.
  • The importance of dressing consciously at work (at the office and from working home) and the benefits for companies and individuals.
  • Optimisation of time and money by achieving a tidy wardrobe.
  • Increasing wellness, efficiency and economy through conscious consumption of clothing.

A Q&A and discussion will follow Adriana’s talk, during which participants will be encouraged to share their opinions and ideas. Although the webinar will be held in English, it will be relevant to audiences connecting from both Spain and the UK.

About the speaker:

From an early age, Adriana Margarita Ruiz (Mar Ruiz) always loved playing with fabrics and clothes. This passion led her to study Fashion Design and Illustration at Instituto de Diseño de Valencia (Venezuela).

In 2012, Mar graduated from London College of Fashion with a First Honours degree in Sportswear Design. Her final collection at university was awarded with the Special Award Gore Bike Wear by The European Fashion Award (FASH2012), and the Off Catwalk Prize by the School of Design and Technology. She also won the UAL Best Final Projects 2011.

Since then, her professional practice has been focused on functional clothing, uniforms and workwear. She has worked as a sportswear designer, freelance designer and as a uniform fitter. In 2018, She graduated from Brunel University London with a merit qualification from the MSc in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Design, before going on to found Fashion Redesign.

Fashion Redesign provides conscious consumption education in fashion through workshops and consultancy. Their focus is to guide you on how to save money by dressing responsibly and consciously, and also on how to feel and look good. The was selected as a Semi-finalist on the Creative Industries Award of The Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition 2019, in London, UK.
