One more year the\u00a0 Spanish Chamber of Commerce held the Lladr\u00f3 Annual Golden Award<\/strong> on April 25th at the Spanish Embassy in London. This year and for the first time ever the event was named after\u00a0 Lladr\u00f3,<\/strong> member of our Chamber, which has kindly sponsored this activity and provided the award for the ceremony<\/strong>. We take this opportunity to sincerely thank them for their invaluable support and contribution to the success of this event.<\/p>\n

The Annual Golden Award acknowledges a Spanish company in the UK whose performance in the last year has been outstanding.\u00a0 On this occasion, the awarded company was BBVA for their track record and achievements in the UK<\/strong> business market throughout the years.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr Philip Paddack, COO – UK and Head of Clients – Europe Corporate & Investment Banking<\/strong> from<\/strong> BBVA,<\/strong> received the award on behalf of the company and conveyed his gratitude, expressing also what an important year 2013\u00a0 is for the bank as it marks the 95th anniversary of the first branch they opened abroad.<\/p>\n

The award was presented by H.E. the Ambassador of Spain,\u00a0Mr. Federico Trillo-Figueroa, who showed his congratulations\u00a0 to the Spanish company. During his speech, the President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, Mr.\u00a0 Javier Fern\u00e1ndez, pointed out the relevant role BBVA has played in furthering\u00a0 business relations between Spanish and British markets. Besides, BBVA is one of the oldest members of this institution and has supported the Chamber in many different activities throughout the years.<\/p>\n
