On Thursday 12th<\/sup>\u00a0March the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will take part in\u00a0an evening talk on \u201cBusiness Risks & Mitigation: Latin America\u201d<\/strong> organised by the Council of Ibero American Chambers in the UK (CIAC)<\/strong>. The event will be held at the Meli\u00e1 White House<\/a> hotel, members of the Chamber, and it will be kindly sponsored by ONTIER<\/a>, also one of our associated companies.<\/p>\n

For those who are not familiar with the Council of Ibero American Chambers in the UK, it was formed on the 10th<\/sup>\u00a0February 2014. The CIAC is an independent business to business network of UK based chambers with unrivalled expertise and contacts across Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean with a core membership of over 600 businesses. This event will be the third activity organised by the CIAC after the success of the previous ones. On this particular occasion, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a range of experts in the international business area who will contribute with their insights on the challenges that foreign investors face -and how to overcome them \u2013 when entering the Latin American market.<\/p>\n

We are delighted to announce that Mr. Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Illana, International President of ONTIER and <\/strong>Irene Mia, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Economist Intelligence Unit, will be among the panel of speakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adolfo Su\u00e1rez founded Su\u00e1rez & Illana Abogados, a prestigious law firm that has been integrated since July 2010 into ONTIER. He is a specialist on negotiation and corporate law and has participated on a large number of national and transnational corporate businesses.<\/p>\n

Mr. Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Illana, International PresIdent of ONTIER, will be one of our speakers at the next CIAC event.<\/p><\/div>\n

Irene Mia holds an MA in Latin American Studies and a PhD in International Economic and Trade Law. She has written and spoken extensively on issues related to national competitiveness and development, serving as lead author and editor on a number of regional and topical competitiveness papers and reports.<\/p>\n

We will also count with the presence of Mr. Seamus Andrew, Managing partner of ONTIER UK; Dr. \u00c1lvaro Enrique Leyva Mu\u00f1oz, Partner of ONTIER Colombia, and Mr. Luis Miguel Ram\u00edrez Ruggeberg, Senior Associate of ONTIER Mexico, who will provide an overview from the British side as well as from their specific countries.<\/p>\n

This talk will provide a unique opportunity to obtain first-hand insight into information on the current business climate in Latin America with a focus on how British-based companies can better prepare to enter this market and key aspects they need to consider before, during and after they have set up their business activity. The event will be followed by a networking drinks reception where attendees will be able to meet and discuss further with the speakers.<\/p>\n
