EXTERNAL AFFAIRS INTERN - Social Market Foundation (SMF), Westminster, London - (current) 30 July until 30 November 2018 - I assisted in organising SMF events at the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative 2018 Party Conferences, organising SMF's 'Ask the Expert' lunchtime seminar series, in association with the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), which seeks to bring the best policy output from the world of academia into the heart of Westminster, managing an Ask the Expert event on Brexit and Northern Ireland with a Professor from Queen’s University, Belfast as speaker, producing a blog on the Brexit and Northern Ireland event, producing a blog on another Ask the Expert event on supporting ex-offenders on their path to rehabilitation and employment, assisting in writing a proposal for the introduction of podcasts within the SMF & ESRC's 'Ask the Expert' seminar series, regularly promoting SMF outputs and events on Twitter and LinkedIn, proof-reading and sending out press releases, researching who to invite to SMF events such as panels, roundtables and dinners, drafting and sending out invitations to MPs, Lords, Baronesses, chief executives, individuals in the business, legal and charity sectors, academics, journalists and civil servants.
Other work experience: 
VOLUNTEER TRANSLATOR (part-time) - Latin America Bureau (LAB) - 31 January until 9 March 2018 - I translated an interview from Spanish to English done by a Journalist in Mexico, as well as an interview from English to Spanish done by an Activist in Brazil for LAB's publication 'Voices'.
Other work experience 2: 
INTERN - The Aware Foundation, India - 13 September until 16 November 2017 - I read a full-length report titled “Status of Children in Gujarat”, which was authored by a trustee of the NGO who is also a well-known researcher and academic in India; Prof. Leela Visaria. I produced 2 smaller reports that presented the Major Findings and Policy Recommendations, which are to be used for future media release and wider dissemination, I spent time in one of the most economically distressed districts in India called ‘The Dangs’. The NGO has set up schools and hostels for the children of migrant workers to study at and stay in whilst their parents migrate to other parts of India to work for 7/8 months a year. I interacted with all the children and participated in micro-planning meetings with the villagers to discuss the problems they were facing, as well as meetings with teachers to discuss how they can improve their teaching methods, I represented the NGO at a day conference regarding Corporate Social Responsibility, which was held by UNICEF India and the Confederation of Indian Industry. OFFICE ASSISTANT - BK Insurance Brokers Limited, 13 June until 9 September 2016/17 June until 14 August 2015/16 June until 12 September 2014 - I provided support and carried out administrative tasks for example organising files on office software, filing, scanning and photocopying documents, organising meetings for the director, answering phone calls in a well-mannered and professional tone and relaying messages to my colleagues.

I am a committed, self-motivated and conscientious individual who is eager to face new challenges. Through the completion of a joint honours degree in International Relations and Spanish, I have obtained exceptional organisational skills and can prioritise when necessary whilst working under pressuring environments. I have the ability to adapt to different situations in an efficient and calm manner, which was enhanced through spending my year abroad studying in Costa Rica and just over two months volunteering as an intern with an NGO in India. I have a passion for human rights, politics and international relations. I have skied since a young age and I have been lucky enough to have travelled to a variety of countries around the world.
