For 2018, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce a new series of events: the Human Capital Forum. The Forum aims to create a space for learning and discussing relevant topics in the areas of organisational development, leadership, change management and talent. It is thus open to all representatives of member companies who are responsible for Human Resources and its related fields, as well as those in related professions. The Forum is scheduled to meet every three months.

The Human Capital Forum ultimately aims to highlight the strategic value of each companies’ greatest asset: its workforce.

The Chairman of the Forum is Mónica Hernanz, Managing Director at The Client Academy Ltd and Adjunct Professor of Organisational Behaviour at IE Business School.

After its inaugural meeting in April 2018 on the subject of happiness at work, The Human Capital Forum will meet again on Wednesday July 4th 2018 to discuss the following topic: “The human challenge of digitalisation: how are companies’ cultures changing to prepare them for a digital future?” Guest speaker to be confirmed.

The speaker’s presentation will cover the following areas:

  • What are the key digital transformation trends that HR directors should be mindful of?
  • What can we learn from companies both leading and struggling in the journey to create a digital organisational culture?
  • If you were a HR director wanting to prepare your company for the increasingly digital world and had a limited budget for 2018-19, where would you invest your money?

The next Forum for 2018 will take place in November (date TBC) on the following topic: The pertinence of the #MeToo movement: how have gender politics in the workplace changed in 2018 as a result of shifts in society?

Being a forum for a specific sector its events are attended by exclusive invitation only from the Chamber.
